Industrial licensing in Angola to be simplified
Olga Afonso told Angolan news agency Angop that this new system reduces the waiting time for the license and allows business owners who have access to the Internet and the necessary documentation to start the licensing process without having to visit a provincial or national office.
“If all the requirements are met, a national or foreign investor can obtain the respective license within 10 days,” Afonso told Angop.
The National Director of Registration and Licensing also said that the new system allows for better coordination between central and provincial offices and enables technicians to analyse applications in an easier and faster way.
Afonso recalled that Executive Decree 348/16 introduced some benefits in terms of fees and charges for micro, small and medium-sized industrial enterprises, and to a lesser extent for larger ones.
The Angolan Ministry of Industry issues between 30 and 40 industrial permits per month.
