APIEX Board of Directors sacked
Trade Minister Fiel Domingos Constantino sacked the Board of Directors of the Agency for the Promotion of Investment and Export of Angola (APIEX).
In order to ensure the normal functioning of APIEX, a Management Committee headed by the Secretary of State for External Trade, Alexandre David de Sousa Costa, was appointed as coordinator, according to a press note that reached the Angolan news agency Angop.
Francisco Eduardo Beny, Secretary General of the Ministry of Trade, Jacinto Pedro Ucuahamba, general inspector, Heleno G. F. Antunes, deputy director of the minister's office, Pedro Gonçalves Silva da Cunha and Belarmino Gomes da R. Gomes Van-Dunem, as collaborator, respectively.
The Management Committee is responsible for evaluating and proposing the functions of APIEX Angola in the context of the reform of the Ministry of Trade and the integrated system approved under the "Angolan Trade Organization", to analyze the organization, structuring and operation of the APIEX and propose measures for immediate solutions, as well as to prepare, within the established period, the report and submit it to the Supervisory Authority for decision.
The sacked Board of Directors of APIEX was chaired by António da Ressurreição Simão Henrique da Silva, with executive directors for the export area, Lopes Paulo, for administrative and financial issues, Julay da Purificação Morais, while Carlos Alberto Gomes Padre was the executive director for the market and product monitoring area at APIEX.
